Woman makes a massive Game Boy Color out of cardboard
At a measly 5.24 inches in height, you’ve got to feel sorry for any giants who wanted to play the Game Boy Color. Sure, they may have been the stuff of myth and legend, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t enjoy the odd game of Pokémon Yellow every now and then. Step forward Jamie, also known as MaboroshiTira on deviantART, who has crafted a massive Game Boy Color that’s roughly thirteen times the size of the original and is sure to please any Norse Gods craving a quick go on ECW: Hardcore Revolution. What’s more, hers is more ecologically friendly, because it’s made out of cardboard. Sure, it doesn’t actually play any games, or fit in your pocket, or even do anything in colour. But that didn’t stop Jamie – an art major at the University Of Delaware – from sculpting this beautiful beast. According to Jamie: “All of the buttons are pushable. The on and off switch moves, and the volume dial turns. I also made a removable game cartridge.” That’s attention to detail right there. This would be the point where we’d make an obvious Paper Mario joke but Jamie also says she’s “done with cardboard for a long time” so that puts an end to that. We could have a go at her for ruining our joke by asking if her Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt was another tribute to the ’90s but to be honest we respect her too much to do that. Even though we sort of just did. Um… check out more pictures of Jamie’s massive cardboard Game Boy Color over at her deviantArt page.
